This magnificent hotel was recently totally renewed. It is an old Palace dating 1800, built by Uttiveggio and for many year was the residence of one of the most important, noble and well-known families of Palermo: the Florio Family. It was after this family , that the city gave its name to the facing square Ignazio Florio piazza.
The Florio hotel has a privileged location: close to the main touristic spots, such as Quattro Canti, Cathedral and the most important Opera houses( including Teatro Massimo and Politeama); and also for being in the heart of the city, in an area with the most luxurious shops.
The hotel is also very near to the pier; from here several cruises set sail to visit the Sicily islands as well as the northern regions of Italy. The bus station , taxi stop and tourist information office are also just a few meters away.
